A very important thing in fantasy football, is realizing when you make the wrong transfer. This past week, I followed the FFS pack in bringing in David Silva. I was clearly blinded by near-sighted vision (Home to Hull), with City's next couple of fixtures not that favorable. I realized my mistake and decided to shift Silva and keep faith in Coutinho, who has recently been moved into 'the hole' behind Daniel Sturridge.

My plan at the start of the season was always to get Robin Van Persie by GW4, where he is at home to Crystal Palace. With him being so expensive this season, I had to downgrade one of my midfielders to a cheaper option, so I decided to downgrade Silva.

I narrowed down my replacement for Silva was between two players; Robbie Brady of Hull, and Pete Whittingham of Cardiff. Both players had similar advantages, as they are responsible for set pieces and some corners for their respective clubs. In the end, I decided on Brady due his fixtures.

So to wrap up, my hit this week is:

Silva(9.4) ---> Brady(5.0)
Dzeko(7.8) ---> RVP(14.0)

  1. great blog !
    have been running something similar on my general blog but fpl is growing on me as a major hobby !
    definitely a good transfer, who'ld you captain for the armband for #gw4 ? #rvp seems the stand out choice , my capatinings been horrible this season

    gw1 - hazard 16
    gw2 & gw3 - rbp 4 & 2

    i've a decent 167 points but i don't know about this captaining, feels jinxed .

    quick question, you think felliani will play along side carrick or slot in behind rvp in the whole role where he flourished under moyes last season

    1. I think you should wait until Fellaini actually features for United, but I think that he will play in a further forward role (maybe CF).
